July 1 Sweltering Heat Dome
If you are old enough to remember a time before air conditioning you know what it feels like to be in southern Germany today with temperatures closing in 100° F. The same is waiting tomorrow. Stay inside, have good fans, drink cold beverages and wait for sunset. The only thing we did today outside the house was a drive to Blieskastel for lunch at Hämmerles Restaurant , a Michelin 1 Star restaurant that has a perfect 5 Star Rating on Open Table. This is my second visit and the food is absolutely delicious.... but it was very warm.
